In 2017, engineer and waterski enthusiast Erik Berghiller, while by the lakeside, identified a common challenge for water skiers: the confines of fixed slalom courses. The solution? Inspiration struck when he witnessed a paintball splash in the lake. Under Erik’s leadership, the concept of OffCourse™ was invented. The product, after several iterations, now redefines slalom paths using biodegradable projectiles, testament to dedicated engineering. While the product’s journey was mostly Erik’s vision, input from top athletes like Eric Lithner, especially regarding the final product, underlines its effectiveness and appeal. Developed with insights from some of the sport’s finest, it’s an innovation crafted by skiers, for skiers.
